ENSEMBLE MEHR was founded on 2007 in Tehran by Mehrbanu and consists of
seven young musicians living in Iran,who have studied at  Tehran’s Conservatoire
and University of Music and Arts.
In September 2007 to commemorate the 800 anniversary of the birth
of the Persian mystic Moulana, the group was invited by  Federazione
Mandolinistica Italiana to perform concerts in Italy in the town of Treviso,
Vittorio Veneto and Bibione. They  also play some concerts organized by
Casa della Cultura Iraniana  in Venice at the Centro Culturale Candiani
and Cagliari for the Festival  “Voci dal Mediterraneo – Riflessi d’Oriente”
In May 2008 the group, invited by the Department of History of Visual
Arts and Music of the University of Padova, attended the 2nd edition of the
"Giornata dell’Ascolto" at Palazzo della Ragione, organized by the city of Padua.
Ensemble Mehr also held concerts in the cities of Bologna, Venice,Florence and
Milan organized by Casa della Cultura Iraniana in collaboration with local institutions
